4x4

VSAR 4x4 Unit complements VSAR operations with specialized capabilities that enable searching of 4x4 roads, Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) trails, and off-trail areas. VSAR 4x4 Unit will be deployed when vehicles or lost subjects are in areas that require 4x4 vehicle travel. VSAR 4x4 provides transport of members and subjects from remote areas where possible. VSAR 4x4 unit also assists with fire and flood evacuations, manning road blocks, and assisting evacuees. VSAR 4x4 units can also act as radio relay stations with vehicle 50-watt radios.
