Mounted (Equine)

Our mounted unit assists with search and rescue activities in road-less or remote areas for lost or missing persons at any time of day or climatic conditions. The Unit provides mounted rescue capability to search for, rescue, evacuate, or recover lost, injured, missing, or deceased persons. Search and Rescue personnel on horses can cover more terrain area than hikers, have an elevated view of the search area, provide transport of heavy search and rescue equipment, and can be used to transport subjects out of difficult terrain.
